Yes, I thought the same thing. But it's a test, and a movie, so I decided to smudge he realism a little bit. ;)

The crater looks great, I like how theres anoher, smaller one iside the main one, as if rocks have rolled back down the side and formed an inner circle.

It defintley is movie-worthy, hey...its already more realistic than the ovesaturated red Mars scenery in Total Recall, and that movie is old, but not THAT old.

Good render, did you use a surface map for it or create one yourself?

the terrain in the render, however, seems to be lacking in detail a tiny bit. Still, brilliant render again ^^
