Here is a composited test image from the Mars film project which I've been given permission to show. The rover was created and rendered in 3DS Max by the Germany team while the landscape and atmosphere was rendered seperately in Terragen 2. The compositng was done by the team in Germany, not me :D . Enjoy.

Sorry, but I don't understand the reason for the "steps" which recede out of view beneath the communications antenna or scanning device. Perhaps you could explain? Thank you.

I didn't make the model but those seem to be vents of some kind or air intakes, not steps.
